No. Hoopla Magazine is advert-free, sponsorship-free, branding-free, sugar-free, fat-free, printed on paper from sustainable forests and guaranteed to be a fun and wholesome read for everyone! The only small exception to this is that competition prizes are donated to us for free and the manufacturers are given a little space, in return, to show off their products. We don’t have any paid-for advertising.

In general, the readership of our magazine ranges from around age five to age ten. However, we have some younger readers and some older! It really depends on the individual. You can flick through a full sample of Hoopla Magazine on our ‘About’ page or purchase one of the back issues from our shop before taking out a subscription.

Hoopla Magazine does not include free cover gifts. We believe that the true value of our magazine lies in the exciting and engaging content printed on its pages, rather than in cheap plastic toys or gimmicks. We aim to minimise our environmental impact and promote sustainable practices where possible. 

There’s still plenty for your child to look forward to each month though! Every edition of Hoopla Magazine is jam-packed with fun things to make and do, like baking fortune cookies, engineering a suspension bridge or crafting a diorama, plus there are always plenty of puzzles, jokes and quizzes to get stuck into. 

Delivery

When you first sign up to Hoopla Magazine the cut-off deadline for receiving the next month’s magazine is midnight on the 28th of each month. If you sign up any time after the 28th of the month, your subscription will start with the following month’s magazine. Magazines arrive in the UK between the 1st and the 12th of each month. International deliveries can sometimes take longer.

If you’d prefer to receive a magazine sooner, simply purchase the latest edition from our online shop in addition to your subscription and we’ll send that first copy out to you as soon as we can.

We try to send out magazines to arrive around the beginning of each month, so you should expect to receive your copy between the 1st and 12th of each month. If you haven’t received your magazine by the 15th of the month, please get in touch and we will investigate for you. You can contact us at support@hooplamag.com

Yes! Just head to our International Subscriptions section. You’ll see all of our international subscription packages. The magazine subscription prices include overseas postage in your selected currency. For shop orders, the international postage will be calculated at the checkout.

Simply log in to your account and edit your delivery address details online. Your address will be updated and the next magazine will be sent to your new address. Alternatively, you can contact our customer services team with your subscription details and your new address. Our email address is support@hooplamag.com. If you are moving overseas, please contact the customer services team as shipping fees will apply.

Due to the new EU customs regulations, any order for delivery into the EU may be taxed at the border and may incur a customs clearance/handling fee in the receiving country. The taxes and handling fees will vary from country to country and we are unable to give you an estimate of the exact fees that you will be charged.

Products purchased through our online shop are usually dispatched within two working days. UK orders will be sent using the Royal Mail’s 2nd Class service and they should arrive within 2-3 working days after dispatch. International orders will be sent using Royal Mail’s standard international service and they should arrive within 6-7 working days.

Delivery is subject to Royal Mail’s postal times – we can’t take responsibility for items delayed in the post.

Subscriptions

Yes, simple select one one of our one-off non-renewing subscriptions. You can choose between 6 or 12 months. Please check out only one subscription at a time to allow for different delivery addresses.

Yes. Simply log in your account and click on the Edit Subscription button. You will then have the option of switching to a different payment plan.

Simply log in to your account and click on the ‘Your Subscriptions’ button. Then click the ‘View/Edit’ button and you will then have the option of cancelling your subscription. Once your subscription has been cancelled, no further payments will be processed and you will stop receiving the magazines once any pre-paid period has expired.

Our standard subscriptions operate on an auto-renewing basis, ensuring that you don’t miss out on any magazines. If you would prefer not to have this option you can log into your account and cancel your subscription at any time by clicking the ‘Edit subscription’ button and continuing to cancel your subscription. You will still continue to receive all of the magazines that you have paid for. For example, if you signed up for a 12-month payment plan and you cancel your subscription, you will still receive a magazine each month for a whole year. At the end of the year your subscription will come to an end and no further payments will be processed.

We’re always happy to help. Simply send an email to support@hooplamag.com or call us on 0330 2233 790. If we’re not able to pick up the phone straight away, please leave us a detailed message with your name and telephone number so we can get back to you as soon as possible.

Simply log in your account and click on your name to make changes to your account (on mobile devices this menu is found in the top right hand corner of the screen).

Once you have accessed your account, click on ‘Your subscriptions’ under Account links. Click the View/Edit button next to the subscription you would like to update and click the Update payment method button.

Schools & other organisations

During the long summer break, we can hold back the August issue and send it at the start of the school year in September. During the Easter break, should this fall during a delivery period, we can hold back the delivery until the end of the holidays. Please get in touch if you need us to hold your school’s magazines.

If you have chosen to pay for your subscription by invoice, the subscription will start with the most current edition from the date that your payment is received.
